Stafford Visitor Center

Stafford County's Visitor Center is located 1 mile from I-95 at Exit 133-A. The Center is located at Belmont - Gari Melchers Home & Studio, in Historic Falmouth.

Stafford's Visitor Center offers local travel maps and brochures about historic sites, golf courses, performing and visual arts facilities, museums, wineries, dining and lodging opportunities.

Stafford is best known George Washington's Boyhood Home at Ferry Farm - the source of the famous Cherry Tree Legend.

Directions:  Take I-95 south to Exit 133-A Falmouth/ Rte 17 Business/ Warrenton Rd. Follow Route 17S for 1 mile.  Watch for the Belmont sign - turn right on Washington Street (Rte 1001). Take 1st right into the Gari Melchers Home and Stafford Visitor Center. (From the south, take I-95 north to exit 133, and take the 1st right on the ramp. Follow above steps...)
