Park Place Drive-In
Although not technically the resurrection of a drive-in that had previously gone dark, this was the location of The Park Drive-In that had faded to black almost three decades ago, and is now the site of a brand new drive–in and entertainment complex which opened in May of 2000.
The outdoor picture is a solo screen with a capacity for up to 240 cars, open seasonally, April thru October.
This drive-in has it all. You will find a brand new miniature golf course built in 2006, a batting cage with fast and slow pitch softball and three speeds of baseball, and also an arcade with pool tables, air hockey and much more.
We also feature a new ice cream shop featuring 32 of Hershey's best flavors, banana splits, extreme sundaes, and smoothies.
Far too frequently drive-ins fall to destruction to build yet another Wal-Mart, but this drive in has risen in the shadows of an adjacent Wal-Mart. This is something of a first, poetically justifiable trivia, and a rather good omen!
Park Place Drive-In orginally opened in 1954 and then closed in 1983 prior to what exists today.
