Clifton Forge School of the Arts
Clifton Forge School of the Arts, "CFSOTA", is a 501c3 non-profit School offering opportunities for training in fine/applied arts to adults/children that is recreational and vocational; promotes economic development; and encourages cultural enrichment and creativity.
Located in the Alleghany Highlands and the heart of downtown Clifton Forge, VA, our campus occupies graciously donated historic buildings and land that were once a 1920's hardware store, 1892 lumber mill and a grocery supplier. We have unique venues that are available for your function rental (weddings, receptions, fundraising, music, meetings, etc), which help support the programs of CFSOTA. They are: The Mill (a large repurposed lumber mill), The Gallery (our rotating exhibit hall) and The Garden (with rare trees & plants, walkways and resting areas).
We publish a quarterly class schedule that features individual, ongoing and "created just for you or your group" classes in art disciplines such as: painting, drawing, fiber, music, blacksmithing, woodworking/carving, pottery, glass & stone sculpture. Our professional instructors come, from near and far, bringing a wealth of knowledge and artistic skills.
Please visit with us to explore our campus of studios, art store and garden - and sign up for the class of your choice. Our office is usually open 12-2; however, we are often open much longer hours. Stop by!
