Alexandria Symphony Orchestra

Northern Virginia's premiere fully professional orchestra, the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1954 and has established a reputation for thematic and inter-arts programming that features a mix of classical and contemporary music. The ASO performs at the Schlesinger Center under the baton of Music Director Kim Allen Kluge.

2009 marks the 21th anniversary of Maestro Kluge's time with the ASO. During his career here, he has elevated the orchestra from a group of community musicians to a fully professional ensemble.
