Shenandoah Wine Trail: A Vintage Experience…..Plus!

Day 1
Begin your wine experience with North Mountain Vineyard & Winery then proceed south along Rt. 11 to Shenandoah Vineyards, the oldest vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley. Continue on to Wolf Gap Vineyard, located on a ridgeline which affords spectacular mountain views. To round out your tour a visit to Cave Ridge Vineyard, nestled in the foothills overlooking the Shenandoah Valley and end at The Winery at Kindred Pointe where you can also enjoy their walking trails on the premises. Each winery offers their own unique wines from Chambourcin and Merlot, to Traminette and Viognier. Relax in your hotel and then enjoy dinner at Sals Italian Restaurant in Edinburg, a local favorite for authentic Italian cuisine.

Day 2
Enjoy breakfast and homemade apple fritters at Johnny Appleseed Restaurant then start your day at the New Market Battlefield State Historical Park. Rest and enjoy lunch at "Retro" Southern Kitchen. Spend the afternoon at Shenandoah Caverns and their Family of Attractions including American Celebration on Parade and The Yellow Barn. Then travel north and check in to your hotel and enjoy dinner at one of the many quaint restaurants located in Woodstock, VA.

Day 3
Start your day off with some fresh baked breads and scones at Laureen's Bakery in Edinburg, one of our more than 75 sites on the O Shenandoah County Artisan Trail.   Afterwards, explore more of the O Shenandoah County Artisan Trail with a stop at the Edinburg Mill to learn about local history and see local art work and crafts.  Whether you have a love of the arts, history or enjoy local cuisine or farm fresh produce, the O Shenandoah County Artisan Trail has you covered.   Enjoy lunch at the Woodstock Cafe & Shoppes followed by a stroll along Main Street taking while exploring many of the local shops.  Strasburg is great destination for antique lovers as well.
