Oakland Museum
Oakland is Nelson County's Museum of Rural History, and home of the Hurricane Camille Resource Center. The museum features photographs, oral histories, videos, and printed articles which document the impact of 1969's Hurricane Camille on Nelson County's land and people.

Colleen Drive-In - Since 1964
Since 1964 the Colleen Drive-In has been serving up burgers, fries, breakfast biscuits, apple pies and delicious ice cream treats.  Whether it's the place you took your first date, or where you still get swirl cones for your family and kids on a hot summer night, the Colleen Drive-In is an institution in Nelson County!  Look for the huge Ice Cream Cone!

Seaman's Orchard - Barn with Strawberry
Nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains, Seaman's Orchard is a fourth-generation farm. The farm grows the finest apples, pumpkins and strawberries Mother Nature can provide. Long-established in Nelson County, Seaman's Orchard is part of a large network of orchards and farms, serving as the Agri-Business backbone of the county.

Blue Ridge Pig
The Blue Ridge Pig is country barbecue at its best! Since 1987, this rustic landmark has been serving up smoked meat, sandwiches and sides - eat in or take out, with catering available. Located in beautiful Nelson County, near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it's a must on every visitors list! (or should be!) Look for the Blue Ridge Pig sign, just south of Nellysford on Rt. 151.

Woodson's Mill - circa 1794
Woodson's Mill, built in 1794, is a water-powered grist mill on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the state's finest examples of a 19th-century mill.  The present structure, on the foundation of the original mill,  was completed in 1845, and expanded soon after the Civil War.  The mill has two water wheels. The present building also houses a cider press.

Wintergreen Mountain Resort - Winter Recreation
Wintergreen Mountain Resort has been the winter sports capital of the Mid-Atlantic for more than three decades. For skiers and snowboarders, the 11,000-acre resort offers 26 slopes, featuring extensive beginner-to-expert terrain, also The Plunge, Wintergreen's incredible snowtubing park, terrain parks, high-speed chairlifts, one of the country's top snowmaking systems and ice skating.

Oak Ridge
Oak Ridge is a privately-owned 4800-acre estate, which began a restoration process in 1990. Located in the heart of Nelson County, Oak Ridge was originally built by Robert Rives, an international merchant, in 1802.  The estate is available for special events and offers group tours.
