Military History Tour - Leesburg

Day 1
Visit Dodona Manor in Leesburg Virginia. A National Historic Landmark it was home to General George C. Marshall and his wife from 1941 unitl his death in 1959. During his residency, General Marshall served our nation as Chief of staff of the Army, Special envoy to China, Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense. General Marshall was the architect of the Marshall Plan, asn was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1953.

Day 2
Stroll through Historic Downtown Leesburg and visit the historically significant buildings that once served a variety of uses from Apothecaries, to Civil War Hosptials to Taverns.

Day 3
Visit Balls Bluff Battlefield to witness one of the most powerful Civil War battle sites in Loudoun County.
