Civil War - The Battles and The Citizens

Fredericksburg's location on the Rappahannock River between Washington DC and Richmond made it the site of four separate battles during the Civil War. Each battle has a tale to tell. We'll examine how & why these battles occurred in this area. Was an order to attack misconstrued?  How did politics play into the outcome of these battles? The citizens also played a major role in the whole scene. What were they doing during the battles? Did the ones who left return to live here between the battles? How did politics fit into the events? All of these points are examined in this unique tour.
