Sycamore Antiques and Architectural Art

Rob Blount has always had a good eye and interest in fine antique furniture and decorative arts and for decades has amassed a sizable collection that he offers in the shop. His items range from 19th  century furniture, folk art, stoneware, country store collectibles and more.

Co-owner Joan Gardiner is known to many in and around Petersburg  for her passion and efforts to find buyers to restore the city's early homes.  Joan has a flair for giving old and unusual pieces a new life through her unique creations of furniture and garden elements for the home created using salvaged components from a host of sources.  Custom made kitchen islands, dining tables, headboards and bathroom vanities are a few of the items she has designed and constructed using found components.

Completing the partnership is Dinwiddie resident Darrell Olgers . As a child his parents, Jimmy and Della Olgers, would often take the young Olgers exploring old houses and to flea markets and yard sales, which spawned an early interest in antiques for him. Olgers offers a variety of antiquities including fine furniture, clocks, pocket watches, Civil War artifacts, silver and more.
