Mount Vernon Farm
At Mount Vernon Farm we raise 100% grassfed and grass finished beef & lamb, pastured pork & eggs. The animals are raised holistically and humanely without the use of sub-therapeutic antibiotics, hormones, or chemical inputs. The farm practices planned rotational mob grazing and Holistic Management International guidance to increase the health of the soil, and therefore, the animals in a way as close to mimicking “real” nature as possible. There are only a small handful of us that work on the farm so we take care of everything from care and feeding to marketing and delivering.
Established by the Miller family in 1827, Mount Vernon Farm is nestled on the edge of the Shenandoah National Park in the town of Sperryville. The farm is a total of 845 acres with hundreds of acres in pasture and hundreds more in conservation easement for protection for generations to come. We encourage you to come visit us and see all that we have to offer: farm, bed and breakfast, trout fishing club*, and nature trails. We look forward to meeting you and thank you for your support of healthy, nutrient-dense foods and agriculture
