Douthat State Park Cabins

Douthat State Park, one of Virginia's most beautiful parks, straddles Bath and Alleghany counties. The park is on the National Register of Historic Places. Douthat is one of the original six Virginia State Parks that opened on June 15, 1936. It's nestled in the Allegheny Mountains and features some of Virginia's most outstanding scenery. A 50-acre lake there offers swimming, boating and seasonal trout fishing.

Douthat has 18 one-bedroom cabins, 13 two-bedroom cabins, one three-bedroom cabin, one five-bedroom lodge and two six-bedroom lodges. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, cabins are rented by the week. Otherwise, a two-night minimum stay is required. Maximum occupancy varies so please call the park for details.
