Carter's Tavern Bed and Breakfast

Upon the rolling hills of southern Virginia lies a historic structure like no other today.  Carter's Tavern, which reflects the spirit of a by gone time. Built in the quaint village of Brooklyn in the 1773 as a farm and later a tavern.  This home was then enlarged in 1810 and decorated with faux marbling and wood graining.  Little has changed in two hundred years at the tavern. George Washington reportedly stopped here for refreshments during his southern tour after the Revolution.

Upon your arrival you will be transported back by the setting and accommodations, which make you forget where you.  Relax on the front porch in the evening and in the morning you will be greeted with a southern breakfast!  After, venture out and see what this historic area has to offer!

Come experience life as an American Colonial.
