Allegheny Mountain Antique Log Cabin
The "Fish Creek Cabin" originally built in West Virginia during the 1800's, now has a new setting on the eastern slope of Allegheny Mountain in western Highland County with a fantastic view of Upper Back Creek Valley. Along with the coziness of huge oak logs, the cabin has many modern features including a Jet Tub, Shower, Washer and Dryer, Phone, DVD and Wireless Internet. The Cabin's main source of heat is a large wood stove with fire-viewing glass in the log living room which opens to a full kitchen. The bedroom with double bed adjoins a full bathroom and the loft has 2 single beds.
On 25 acres, the property joins over a 1,000 acres of George Washington National Forest with hiking access along a small stream bordered by 100's of large rhododendrons. In addition, public access to Ruckman Draft National Forest Service Road begins only 5 minutes away, Trout Fishing is less than 30 minutes away, and if you enjoy Winter Sports it is just 50 minutes to Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort.
Available September through April. 2 Night Minimum. Maximum 4 People. 4-Wheel Drive Recommended. No Smoking, No Pets, No Hunting.
Please inquire about the primitive one room "Bird Hollow Cabin" for 1 or 2 guests.
