Piney Grove at Southall's Plantation is pleased to offer a very special two-night B&B lodging and plantation tour package for a July, August and September in Williamsburg's James River Plantation Country. Piney Grove at Southall's Plantation is conveniently located to Williamsburg, in the heart of the James River Plantation country, yet in close proximity to Richmond and Petersburg. Historic lodging is provided in the restored 1857 Ladysmith House: Each room has a special view of the lush gardens and grounds. Spacious guest rooms are furnished with antiques and include private baths and all the modern conveniences. Guests arrive to Mint Juleps and enjoy a served candlelight breakfast in the 1790 Log Room of Piney Grove each morning.
Your will explore four centuries of antiques, history and architecture during the "James River Plantation Progressive Tour" which features visits to the three historic homes on the grounds of Piney Grove at Southall's Plantation. This special two-hour guided tour includes interior "TOURS-BY-THE OWNERS" of Piney Grove-1790, Ashland-1835 and Ladysmith-1857, as well as exterior visits to Dower Quarter-1830 and Duck Church-1917. The tour concludes with refreshments in the garden.
