When people think of the Blue Ridge Parkway, natural scenery is an immediate thought that comes to mind.  Carroll County's stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway, between Mileposts 182 and 212 offers a terrific sampling of Mother Nature's colorful delights - most common in the springtime and early summer.  The county's position in the heart of the Blue Ridge Plateau produces ideal conditions for floral displays.  Visitors must travel the parkway at different times of the season and year, to view the full range of growth available for vieiwing pleasure.  The Blue Ridge Parkway in Carroll County is easily accessible from Interstate 77 at the Fancy Gap Exit (Exit 8).
