Potomac Overlook Regional Park Gardens

On the Potomac Palisades, park offers 100 acres of peaceful woodland. Features include: Nature Center with wildlife and archeological displays and auditorium; nature trails; and vegetable, herb, butterfuly and wildflower gardens. Full schedule of hikes and programs.

Staff, volunteers, and Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia maintain several educational gardens at Potomac Overlook Regional Park. These include:

  • Organic vegetable garden and compost demonstration area.
  • Native plant and butterfly gardens
  • Herb garden
  • "Landscape Garden" (with ideas for shrubs, trees and flowers a shady backyard)
  • Indian Circle Garden

The gardens are open dawn – dusk throughout the year.
