Happy Creek Arboretum

Happy Creek Arboretum introduces users to the identification of 30  tree species that thrive in the northern Shenandoah Valley and nearby Blue Ridge Mountains.

Located along scenic Happy Creek in downtown Front Royal, this small Arboretum provides tranquil areas for contemplating nature, scientific observation, or just a pleasant lunch break. Have a picnic, sketch the graceful arch of the footbridge, be entertained by the colors in the butterfly garden, or ponder one of the stars of the show, say, a grand old American Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis)--see if you can find it!

Happy Creek Arboretum is a town park maintained and developed in partnership with the Front Royal/Warren County Tree Stewards. It is five-minute walk from the downtown Visitors Center, near the Commerce Avenue flea market between Stonewall and Prospect Streets.
