Lynchburg Museum / Old Court House

NOW REOPENED!!!

Come to The Lynchburg Museum and explore the history of Lynchburg and the Virginia Piedmont.

In 2000, a ceiling collapsed and the building was closed for a complete renovation. We are pleased to announce that the Museum is now reopened with all new exhibits.

The Lynchburg Museum shares stories about the people and fascinating events that have shaped Central Virginia and exhibits artifacts of all kinds-silver and furniture made in Lynchburg, fine art, Civil War flags and weapons, antique toys, sports and music memorabilia, historic photographs, and much more.

The Lynchburg Museum System also operates Point of Honor, an elegant Federal home built in 1815.

Both sites are open Mon - Sat, 10:00 - 4:00 & Sun, noon - 4:00; closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, & New Year's Day.
