Old Dominion Railway Museum
The Old Dominion Railway Museum is housed in the former Southrn Railway Depot and operated by members of the Old Dominion Chapter - National Railway Historical Society. This museum features photos and artifacts from the area's railroad history as well as a restored stationmaster's office and a 1960's Seaboard caboose. A model railroad layout is partially completed and can be operated by most docents. Our gift shop features t-shirts, books, toys, and other items including Christmas ornaments of the Triple Crossing, Main St. Station, and Hull St. Station. These ornaments are exclusive to the Old Dominion Chapter. Hours are 11-4 Saturdays and 1-4 Sundays. Special tours are available by reservation, and the museum may be rented for wedding receptions, birthday parties, and other events.
