Lee Hall Mansion

Lee Hall Mansion was constructed around 1850 by wealthy planter Richard Decauter Lee. The residence was designed in the Italianate architectural style. The home served as a Confederate headquarters during the 1862 Peninsula Campaign. Guided tours are offered. The Peninsula Campaign exhibit galleries feature a collection of Civil War artifacts including drawings, sidearms and presentation firearms. A gift shop is on site. Popular annual events include the Great Easter Egg Hunt, the Summer Celebration Wine Festival, period holiday decorations in December, and guided van tours in the spring and summer to historic sites in the region. From January 1st to March 31st Lee Hall's hours of operation are Thursday-Saturday 10am-4pm & Sunday 1pm -5pm. From April 1st to December 31st Lee Hall is open Monday, Thursday and Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday 10am-5pm & Sunday 12-5pm. Located at Exit 247 off Interstate 64, just minutes from Colonial Williamsburg, Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport and other Newport News attractions.
