New Market Walking Tours
Stroll the timeworn streets of New Market, Va, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, while listening to stories of New Market's most colorful citizens from a historian in 1860's costume. Hear about the Senedo Indians, the Massanutten Mountains, and the beginnings of New Market as well as the stories of Eliza Clinedinst, Confederate nurse, Jessie Rupert, Union sympathizer, and Anna Maria Henkel, a wily mother who outwitted invaders of her home. Available for tour groups of 10-50. Seats are available in churches.
