This late model series has long produced some of the sport's greatest drivers. Sprint Cup superstars, Denny Hamlin, Jeff Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mark Martin have all competed in the late model series in Martinsville. You may even see some of the Sprint Cup favorites racing in the Virginia is For Racing Lovers 300.
Martinsville Speedway is one of the original and shortest track on the Sprint Cup Circuit and began as a dirt track in 1947. Progression and hard work has paid off because this year Martinsville Speedway is celebrating its 65th Anniversary. Be a part of the year long celebration.
Sunday, October 21st Schedule:
8:00 a.m.: Garage opens
9:00 a.m.: Fan gates open
10:00 a.m.: Mandatory driver/crew chief/spotter meeting
10:30 a.m.: Drivers autograph session on front stretch
11:00 a.m.: Cars on line
12:00 p.m.: Four 25-lap qualifying races to determine starting positions 1 thru 32 with top 8 in each heat race advancing followed by a 50-lap last-chance race with top 10 advancing to feature.
