Thursday, 9/11

  • "Battle of Arbor Hill" near Summerdean in Augusta County (Southwest of Staunton) followed by Federal Pursuit and Confederate Resistance Cavalry ride to Brownsburg in Rockbridge County where units will make camp

Friday, 9/12

  • Cavalry Ride continues to VHC. School program will be held by Living Historians. Cavalry units arrive in the afternoon to camp at the Cameron Farm as they did 150 years ago

Saturday, 9/13

  • Camps will be open for visitors to see how the soldiers lived in the field, followed by a reenactment of the Cameron Farm, Seminar on the Raid and the ravaging of Lexington and surrounding communities.

  • Dinner & Lecture featuring one or more experts on the military movements and civilian impact of the raid (reservations required; $25)

  • 10am church service
  • Camps open in the morning for visitors followed by the final reenactment
