Stories from the Field Quarter

Storytelling is one of the world's oldest traditions. Enslaved African Americans used storytelling as a way of communicating with each other and to preserve their heritage. These stories were used to help teach children how to behave, to explain the world around them and the behavior of animals and sometimes even to poke fun at the masters and themselves. Join costumed interpreter Wisteria Perry for this fascinating program!
