River District Festival
In kicking off the River District Festival, on Thursday, October 6th from 5 PM - 9 PM the Downtown Danville Association will host its first annual Catfish & Crawdads event at The Community Room of The Community Market at the Crossing at the Dan. Cajun food will be served and libations flow while jazz music plays.
On Friday, October 7th, the Danville Fine Arts and History Museum will hold a fundraiser to benefit the Museum's operations and future initiatives.
On Saturday, October 8th, the Danvillle Area Association for the Arts & Humanities with several community partners will hold the first annual River District Festival in Newton's Landing, which is located behind Bridge Street on the Dan River. Events include:
Community Market: 7:30am-12pm
YMCA Duathlon "Morning" River Testing with the Science Center: 10am-5pm
Children's Activities on the River: 10am-5pm
Talent Show Competition: 2pm-4pm
Local and Visiting Music Performers: 12pm-8pm
Juried Art Show Competition: 10am-5pm
Non-Profit/For Profit Showcase: 10am-5pm
Food and Drink Vendors: 10am-8pm
