Town of Gordonsville, VA. "Historic Garden Week" walking tour

Gordonsville has just celebrated its Bicentennial Anniversary. It has been Two- hundred years since this Historic Village was settled – a place of Presidents and Generals. Gordonsville was an important crossroad during the civil war as both a receiving hospital for thousands of casualties and a rail hub for transporting food, supplies and soldiers.

View three Village homes, their gardens and experience shopping along Main Street. Enjoy French dining at the Pomme or some of the best Barbeque around at the BBQ Exchange. The Exchange Hotel and Civil War Museum will be open for viewing along with outside special activities. There will be "Fried Chicken" box lunches served in the tradition of the Fried Chicken Ladies of Civil War time with their original recipe that has been handed down through generations. These lunches can be ordered prior to the tour and will be served on the grounds of the Exchange Hotel. Other activities include music and art by area musicians and artists.
