Fall Festival of Folklife
One of Southeast Virginia’s biggest traditional craft shows, this annual event takes place in the pastoral setting of Newport News Regional Park Over 200 craftspeople display their wares. The juried crafts competition includes Best in Show and first and second place prizes in each craft category. The expanded Heritage Area includes demonstrations and displays in woodworking, spinning, sheep shearing, chair caning and quilting. Traditional foods available for purchase include apple butter and apple cider. There is a children’s area with make-and-take crafts, as well as plenty of food and beverage vendors. Continuous entertainment on four different stages spread throughout the festival grounds. Newport News Regional Park is located at exit 250B from I-64, minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and all Newport News attractions and hotels.
