The Manassas Industrial School/Jennie Dean Memorial

Born a slave in western Prince William County in 1894, Jennie Dean realized her dream of creating a school where young African-American men and women could learn marketable trades and become independent members of society. A bronze model of the campus, outlines of the foundations of original buildings, historical markers and an information kiosk tell the rich history of this school. Outdoor memorial and exhibits only.
